Family day is coming fast! With an entire day off to spend with your family, you might as well make the most of it! Here is a list of things you can do in Ottawa and the Surrounding Area during the Family Day long weekend.

Winterlude turns Canada's Capital reason into a winter wonderland. Enjoy the outdoors and skate along the Rideau Canal, view the elegant and beautiful ice sculptures, get a nice warm Beavertail, and take the kids to the Snowflake Kingdom (great for adults too!). With so many different things to see and do, you'll be entertained all weekend long!

Maple Tree Tapping at the Vanier Sugar Shack

The Vanier Sugar Shack is home to the only active sugar shack in an urban setting in the world! For many decades, tapping their trees has marked the opening of the sugar season in Ottawa. Come take part in this very Canadian activity, supervised by their in house maple producers, and enjoy a free pancake breakfast!
